Children are being pushed further and further down the route to 'academia.'Literacy and Mathematics are seen as important 'school readiness' skills andparents push these from an early age. Creativity is fast becoming squeezedout of our curricula or relegated to 'creative areas.' Creativity is an essentialhuman skill but staff need to understand how to nurture the wonderful skillsour children already possess.
