Quality Audit
How do you feel your Nursery is doing? Do you think the staff have all the training but not putting in place? Do you look at your room and think, 'I wish this looked better'? Do you look at your competitors doing very well but your waiting list is dwindling?
Running a Nursery is hard. There are significant ongoing challenges from changing policies, funding issues, recruitment - do I need more. In amongst all that you may not have the time and energy to devote to the Provision and Practice - that's where we come in. Often we just act as a 'second pair of eyes,' highlighting possible areas of improvement and giving you a framework to improve them systematically.
Our one off quality audit looks deeply at what is working and what can be improved, working in partnership with ownership/leadership every step of the way.
What to expect
Consider us a 'fly on the wall' for the day, kind of. We're there to see everything in action but we're also there to investigate. We go through each of your resources meticulously. We're looking for the connection between what you want them to learn (intent) and the way you're going out it (implementation). We do this initially with the adults in the room, upskilling each staff member with the analytical skills they need to be able to develop provision by themselves in the future.
We observe the play of the children, the interactions, the way learning is being moved forward in the moment and every other little thing you do in a normal day.

We know what it's like to have an additional person in the room. We get it - it can cause anxiety. We work extremely hard to find common ground with the team fast and get them on side. We want them to see this as a collaborative process, not one where they feel 'told off.' We don't do telling off!
The outcome
The goal of this audit is to give you a clear, expert advantage. Following the visit, you will receive a comprehensive report that provides:
-
Proactive Gap Analysis: The opportunity to identify and address any misalignments between your curriculum and your provision before they are highlighted by an external review.
-
A Full Summary of Findings: A detailed overview of the key strengths and areas for development in your setting.
-
Clear, Long-Term Targets: Strategic and achievable goals for improvement.
-
A Step-by-Step Implementation Plan: A practical breakdown of how to implement changes and achieve your targets.
This report is your roadmap, giving you the clarity and confidence to lead your team and demonstrate the robustness of your provision during any inspection.
