Schemaplay for Room Leaders & Teams
Schemaplay is a registered trademark in multiple regions worldwide. Used with permission.
Trademarked to Schemplay CIC.
Schemaplay is back and this time we're introducing a brand new programme designed specifically for Room Leaders.

This programme is designed with 3 different components to support Room Leaders to deepen their knowledge and their skills to support the team around them:

Part 1: Training
We start with some in-depth training split over multiple dates. Through these live group sessions we explore what Scheme and Schema are, what it tells us about how children learn and explore what we can do to support them in this.
You'll be in a group with other Room leaders. This means you will all share the same challenges and can support each other (if you want!).

Once you've completed your accreditation you will gain access to bitesize training sessions to use with the team around you.
Part 2: Mentoring
Once you've had your wonderful training we begin the process of embedding it through structured mentoring. We'll meet with you on a 1:1 basis via Zoom in short 30 minute bursts at a time to suit you. This could be during work hours if you can get cover, before or after work hours or a weekend. During these mentoring sessions we'll embed the training and personalise the approach to work for your room.

Mentoring sessions are structured but not limited. If you need additional time you're welcome to book additional appointments to ensure Schemaplay makes the most impact in your room.
Part 3: Accreditation
There are two parts to the accreditation process. The first is to get you (the room leader) through your award process. You'll gather significant evidence, which we'll review during mentoring and then submit to the Schemaplay external accreditation board. Once you're accredited you begin to roll this out to the rest of your team. Once they're all ready, you gather their evidence together and get your entire team accredited.
Who is this for?
This programme is designed for Room leaders OR people in charge of a team in a group setting. If you have a very small nursery team, are a childminder with a few assistants, a teacher in a school with assistants or lead a playgroup then this would also be perfect for you.
Each person should have responsibility over the staff in their team and have some non-contact time each week to dedicate to paperwork.
How long do I need?
The programme begins in November 2024 and runs until June 2025. If you need additional time then you can extend this to November 2025 at the latest.
You'll need a minimum of 2 hours per week to complete observations, reflective journals and other paperwork.
You'll meet your mentor at least once a month though you have the flexiblity to book this at a time that suits you.
How much does this cost?

The whole programme costs £650. This can be paid in one or spread over 4 months.
There is an additional £15 admin fee per staff member submitted for accreditation.
This includes the training, ongoing access and as many mentoring sessions as you like over the following 12 months (usually charged at £60 per hour). This also includes the cost of your plaque at the end of the accreditation process.
