School Training
At NurseryNook, our approach to training is driven by one question: what creates the most meaningful, long-lasting impact for your school?

We made a purposeful decision to move away from offering generic, one-off training sessions. We found that while they can be inspiring, the responsibility for implementation is too often left to individual practitioners. This rarely leads to the consistent, whole-school change that leaders need to see.

That’s why we now only offer live training in circumstances where we can ensure it leads to real, sustainable improvement.

How We Deliver Live Training:
1. Integrated Training within a School Improvement Programme
For schools committed to a deep improvement journey, we deliver training as a powerful part of the process. This is typically a full training day at the beginning of the programme to align your team, or a focused twilight session after our first visit to build on initial findings.
2. Targeted Training to Support Your Existing Journey
We also offer one-off training to schools that are already on a defined path of improvement. For example, if your team is focused on developing children's vocabulary through open-ended play, we can deliver a bespoke session to provide deeper insights and complement the excellent work your leaders have already started.

We recognise the high cost of training, especially when its impact isn't guaranteed. For this reason, we offer a small selection of pre-recorded training videos.
These are designed as "food for thought" for individual practitioners or for schools to keep on file as a resource. Competitively priced, they are the perfect starting point for any improvement journey.

What to expect
Training from NurseryNook is resource intensive. We strive to ensure staff have the opportunities to implement their learning immediately and we believe the best way to approach this is to play as part of the session. If you book a training session with us expect this to be a hands-on experience with plenty of opportunities to make mistakes and learn!
Who is this for?
Our training is designed for any staff member working with Early Years children or children in a provision-based classroom.
What is the investment?
Training usually runs for 1 or 1.5 hours. We will require 45 minutes to set up and 15 minutes to pack away.

Training costs £325 for 1 hour and £375 for 1.5 hours. We will also charge 45p per mile travel from Leeds and may need to charge for accomodation (£100 per night) depending on your location.
