Quality Audit

Leading in Early Years in the current climate is a significant challenge. Many schools are grappling with the impact of challenging cohorts on their pupil outcomes, all while managing tight budgets and supporting new or misaligned staff. When you're facing these pressures, you need to be certain that your provision is effective and your team is working cohesively. This audit is designed to cut through the complexity, providing the expert insight you need to get your EYFS department 'sorted' and confidently on the path to success.

What to expect

We take a collaborative and methodical approach to strengthening your provision. Working hands-on with your teachers in the room, we observe play and engage with children to understand learning from their perspective. We then analyse how your resource choices and spaces align with your curriculum's intent. This partnership ensures we are always building on children's prior knowledge to create powerful new learning opportunities, making every part of your environment work as effectively as possible.

It's important to note that James, your school coach, has been the teacher for many years. He knows what it's like to have an extra person in the room and all the anxiety that comes with that. He's fab at making staff feel comfortable and getting them on side quickly.

The outcome

The goal of this audit is to give you a clear, expert advantage. Following the visit, you will receive a comprehensive report that provides:

  • Proactive Gap Analysis: The opportunity to identify and address any misalignments between your curriculum and your provision before they are highlighted by an external review.

  • A Full Summary of Findings: A detailed overview of the key strengths and areas for development in your setting.

  • Clear, Long-Term Targets: Strategic and achievable goals for improvement.

  • A Step-by-Step Implementation Plan: A practical breakdown of how to implement changes and achieve your targets.

This report is your roadmap, giving you the clarity and confidence to lead your team and demonstrate the robustness of your provision during any inspection.

Who is this for?

This audit is specifically designed for proactive school and trust leaders who are committed to achieving an outstanding Early Years environment, including:

What is the investment?

The Quality Audit can be delivered in a half day (for a single year group, i.e. Reception, Preschool) or a full day (for an entire EY department in a single school). To get the most out of the day we suggest leaders book time at the end of their day for feedback with us. The Audit usually begins around 7:30 with a quick meeting with Leadership followed by a full day in the provision.

The overall financial investment is £800 for a full day or £425 for a half day. Travel at 45p will also be charged from Leeds. Accommodation (at £100 per night) may be charged for distant schools - please speak to us about this.
